Client’s Request:
Alternative Health Professional Nathan Sivananda wanted to build his own WordPress website, but had little computer experience, and asked us to design the site, using his photography some way in the theme, and then teach him how to add his own content. Nathan wanted a website with:
- an introduction to his philosophy
- a connection to his office in Mt. Shasta, California
- a gallery for his photography
- an “Ask Dr. Sivananda” form
- an online shop for selling health products
Designer’s Comments:
Dr. Nathan Sivananda has had a thriving Chiropractic and Alternative Health practice for many years. He wanted a website, and he wanted to build it himself, but his busy schedule never allowed for the time to get started. I looked through Nathan’s beautiful photography, and selected a few pieces to use for a logo and as background graphics for the website’s theme. We had a couple of one-on-one training sessions to show him the WordPress interface, and he was quickly comfortable adding his own content (text and photos). I followed his progress, answering his questions, sending him suggestions, and a couple times correcting small coding errors.
